Review by hotel critic
During my recent New Year's stay at the Kiroff Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall comfort and modern amenities, especially considering the excellent value for money at just over 1000 NOK for a double room. The thoughtful touches in the guestroom, including premium bedding and convenient laptop-friendly workspaces, made for a cozy and productive environment after a day of exploring the local sites. Though the breakfast menu was cooked to order and delicious, the bustling morning atmosphere was a bit noisy; However, the availability of an air conditioning remote on request was a nice touch to manage that. The staff truly excelled in cleanliness and service, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. While the restaurant, Bon Vivant, might lack appeal and ambiance, the inviting sauna and spa facilities provided a perfect relaxation spot. Though the surrounding area featured some Soviet-style architecture, the nearby natural beauty of Shevchenko Park was a delightful escape.
